There are lots of great resources now for children’s yoga. Check in your area for classes. There are also DVD’s for practicing. Children generally enjoy a faster paced class. One idea for relaxing at the end is to have everyone lie in a circle with one person’s head on the next person’s belly and instruct everyone to relax the belly. You could also have them place a favorite stuffed toy on their belly. Both help to bring awareness to the belly and encourage diaphragmatic breathing.
